Gentle men of the Press
As we are aware the Supreme Court had, on May 24, ruled that the APC did not conduct valid primaries in the build-up to the 2019 general elections in Zamfara State.
The Supreme Court in his own wisdom as final court of the land upheld the judgement of the Court of Appeal, Sokoto Division, which ruled that no valid primaries was conducted by the APC in Zamfara State in accordance with the provision of the section 87 (1,2,3,4,5, 6)of Electoral Act 2010 as amended and internal guidelines and regulations of the party .
The Supreme court in a unanimous judgement by a five-members of the panel declared that APC had no valid candidates cannot be said to have emerged winner of the recently conducted elections of the offices of Governorship, State House of Assembly, and National Assembly in Zamfara State.
It is based on that judgment of the Supreme Court that has brought in the New Sheriff in town to the people of Zamfara State under the man of the moment, His Excellency, Alh. Bello Muhammad (Matawalle Maradun) as the Executive Governor in whom the people are pleased with.
With the recent way and manner the Supreme Court are trying to review an issues that has been overtaken by event may send a bad signal to the people of Zamfara State and the International community we have a report from reliable sources that some disgruntled politicians want to hijack the judgement of the Supreme Court in order to upturn the judgement by hook or by crook .
All eyes are on the justices of the Supreme court on 2nd March,2020.
The good people of Zamfara State are happy with the performances of His Excellency, Alhaji Bello Muhammad (Matawalle Maradun) for bringing peace and good governance to the people of the State within the shortest period of coming on board and they cannot afford to go back to Egypt of yesterday where Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari was accidental Governor.
From the information made available to us, one of the reason why Yari’s and his people went back to Court is to cover up his alleged financial mismanagement under his watch where the Committee indicted him (Yari) for alleged flagrant abuse of office, corruption and direct diversion of state resources to the tune of over N90 billion during his eight-year administration.
The committee report unraveled various allegations of corruption and mismanagement of funds during the tenure of Yari and he is all out to buy his way back to the Government house by proxy in order to escape the wrath of the EFCC.
As a matter of fact if the Justice of the Supreme Court continues with the hearing of the application of the Yari’s group, they are likely to be biased with the outcome of the judgment as such we are urging the Court to maintained the Status quo in Zamfara in the interest of peace because anything on a contrary may lead to another thing else in the State.
On this note, we will be matching peacefully on Thursday to the National Assembly and Supreme Court headquarter for them to do the needful.
